@VVS lets just throw away the box, NOCK is the national oil company. Already NOCK owns prospecting blocks. Nothing stops NOCK from tagging along Upstream companies into commercial blocks once Tullow is done with its work. If Kenya has oil NOCK will be a different parastatal from what you see now!

Speculators get out,the party is over.If kk was to be bought at 15bob which for now is a dream and will die when no more light comesup.why wait for the lengthy process with all the cases?

may be wait when half year results are announced and the company is +1.5B PAT then may be you will understand what people are buying.

Looking closely at the Annual Report & I think it has already made 1.5bn in PBT for 2013. Then add the positive comments about 1Q 2013. As long as they don't have additional forwards, then the strong KES & lower interest rates will help.

If NOCK takes KK, the 20% tax is out of the negotiation. There must be more oil and gas in kenya than information disseminated by oil, gas companies with the government. This was to prevent rush and expectations. But since Oil and gas are national resources and the cake must be shared, then Nock can take the mantle to be the sole distributor around the country at same prices.

Yes Speculators are business people ready to take risks to earn . Stock trading is not charity where you always gain for doing very little or nothing. In stock market you go for a hunt and there are thorns, ups and downs, huge rocks, etc. I remember some years bck KQ was trading @ 2.60 Kshs but climbed to 160 Kshs before splitting. Even Eveready will one day rise to 50 Kshs. Time is everything. Sameer Africa was in the old good days doing the range of 21-40 Kshs before the China colonised African businesses with fakes and cheaps and the depression that followed in 2004!

Is there another firm that (popularly) goes by KQ? Perhaps Kenya Quarries? Kenya Quantum? Kenya Queens?

Let's start from basics @Realtreaty. Which year did RealKQ do it's IPO and what was the offer price per share? Who was the CEO?
