@mlennyma the price of 14 was offered and already accepted by the board and approved by CMA... At the EGM the board will encourage shareholders to approve the deal at 14bob!

They only need 75% shareholder approval..

@mlennyma the normal approval rating for special resolutions is 75% of shareholders.. This is if the articles do not state otherwise

So I guess in the case of Access Kenya the threshold is 90% approval rating

EGM in September? When do shareholders get the 14/-? These delays reduce the value of the offer price [time value of money]

If approved the cash will come even further down perhaps in Dec. Will you still bail out at 14/-?

Thnx @VVS. Sad

is this good or bad for me?? if VWAP is lower than the current price of kes 9.55/= then am getting a good deal at Kes 14/= and if VWAP is higher than Kes9.55/= then I should not agree to sell Eh?

in all the three cases VWAP is lower... so i guess its a good deal.
Do it today! Tomorrow is promise to no-one.

Boss, you need to know your own weighted average purchase price (plus commissions) vs 14 bob to calculate your gain or loss.

Limited choices but yes THOUGH ... I would like to see 1H 2013 results. If the process is delayed beyond September, perhaps we should ask for a sweetener? And there is a KES 0.30 dividend pending too!

VWAP has nothing to do with YOUR cost of these shares.

this deal will be concluded in 1qrt of 2014. What opportunity cost of money. the 14 bob offer is not enough to compensate for the wait. d'oh! d'oh! d'oh!
