Results tomorrow at 3pm. Stay tuned. I expect PAT H1 2012 to double H1 2011 i.e. 100% from 4B to 8B. My best estimate is H1 2012 PAT comes in at 9.6B - 10B. If best case, then 4.80 - 5/- will be tested.

What is the consensus on KENGEN??? i.e. why is it so cheap

Personaly, i am fearful of this stock because of;
i. Madeni,
ii. Government's stake is excess.

Madeni no problem, they are guaranteed by GOK and will be repaid by consumers of electricity. The shareholders are safe!

That's the best part of it.

@murchr. I see you are an energy buff. kengen, oil plays...
I've also realised im inclined towards them. kplc, KK. i dont mind KENGEN at all either.

Lol...Energy drives this world.

SIB see 120% gain H1 2011 vs H1 2012. They estimate full yr dividend to be 28cts, my estimate is 25cts.

Lets wait for the H1 numbers this afternoon.

YES! I knew there was something from yesterday's volume and share price. So it was this SIB report.

All supply at KES.4.50 cleaned just before market close. Should results impress(9B plus), we would be in for a seller's market tomorrow and 5 bob could print as early as tomorrowPray

H2 2011 vs H2 2012 expected double digit growth. H2 2011 PAT was 8B. So at 10% growth H2 2012 should be around 8.8B. That should see full year PAT around 17B vs 12B of 2011 or 41% PAT growth. That's my estimate.
