After you post stuff Akowally and you find that it is not true, isn't it a good idea to update on the correction.

Or have you forgotten to inform members that Nation Hela and PayPal are no more. Just like I predicted would happen.

We wish 2 advise that PayPal 2 NationHela loads have been put on hold due 2 some concerns. We'll communicate once the situation is resolved.

https://twitter.com/Nati...atus/245491973266485248

thats their tweet and the link.

Interesting how a "blue chip" company is still advertising on their website that they offer Paypal withdrawals while their tweeter account seems to have suspended the thing.

why suspend and what are the issues?

By the way, the bloggers who were paid to harp this thing without thinking, would they be so kind as to inform their readers about the current situation? If the situation changes, I'm sure they can write another 300 word article on how its back. But for now, its false advertising all the way.

Alma,

I am sure it's all clear. Check above and see the post. I was the first one to update guys on my blog. Follow the link on my post above to see.

Let me also update Wazuans that there is no PayPal account which was affected. The issue appears to be some problem between 3G and PayPal. This is still speculation though.

Also no one lost anything. The NationHela cards are still on sale and they come for "free" i.e. you buy the card for Sh. 500 and get Sh. 500 pre-loaded in the card. You can still use it to verify PayPal. What's SUSPENDED is the PayPal load function.

I am not one of the bloggers who was paid (if any). My blog is totally for information purposes.

Payoneer and ePay still stand strong. In fact, ePay have reduced their rates.

There are huge huge things coming up in the freelancing scene in Kenya. Stay tuned to Wazua and my blog for more.

Happy freelancing guys :)

@Akowally you weren't the bloggers I was talking about. They know themselves.

It's great you keep your readers informed on what is going on. That is the type of blogging that is needed. Not the other kind of free Nokias and bought information used to spread information or misinformation that is taking root.

The initial question of this thread was, will Nation Hela revolutionize payment systems in Kenya.

I said NO. I'm yet to see a case on how exactly that is achieved.

@Alma,

Thanks for clarifying that blogger part. smile

Yeah, NationHela have not yet proven the revolution part. I'm just waiting to see their next move.

Sadly, it may either make or break them.

Cheers!

@Alma @Akowally: The day Saf and other Telcos will have full support for MobilePayment [ MPesa ] application programming interface (API) for third party developers's integration, then the long Safari to revolutionize payment systems in Kenya will have just began.
