Safaricom has more Customers with frequent purchases
KPLC has fewer customers with one time token purchases
Why one has to buy tokens and wait for more than several hours is beyond me
I look forward to when one can buy tokens and in less than a minute they reflect
At the moment it's like you buy tokens, wait for them to travel from Turkwell Gorge or Sondu Miriu..., before they can reflect

I look forward to the day the units load automatically upon purchase,i,e no need for a token..

And it's not only pre-paid customers who are being thieved! I got a bill with zero units for at least four consecutive months. Then they read the meter and now they are back at it -NO READING OF THE METER!!! What that means is that I'm being billed at KSh12.75 instead of KSh 2.50 for the first 50 units that are "rolled-over".sInce I normally use more than 50 units per month, what I would expect is an estimated reading of more than 50 units if they can't physically come and read my meter.

Yes that's how they con post paid customers from time immemorial. One time went to their office and complained about these estimates. They give you a number to be sending readings at a specific date of the month. You walk home happy....All of a sudden you start getting estimated bills at earlier date than one agreed...and the number also never receives calls so you can't reach anyone to complain. I don't know who will save us from this mess

I'll visit them before I pay my 7.000/= bill.

How CieS came out to defend KP (like the public relations officer), instead of putting the board to task, leaves a lot to be desired

Good luck. They usually make small correction when you visit the office in person and complain. But soon it'll be back to normal coz they know you don't have the time to waste half a day every month. It would seems the area managers have financial (not power consumption) targets imposed on them
