It was said that Mercy was slapped/kicked by Kafogo because she started misbehaving when she got drunk. Like i've said before don't forget that this was Kafogo's party (in "his house"). The MP is known to be extremely arrogant so i don't think he would just let you get away with that kind of behaviour.....im not really shocked to read that he got physical, didn't expect him to be rational in such a scenario.

"Kabogo was very angry. He stood up and grabbed her and asked her why she was throwing things. He slapped her couple of times on her face. It was very intense and Mercy got very scared. Kabogo told me I should get her out of there,"

“ Mercy and several others had been drinking from about 8pm. Kabogo and his bodyguards arrived later............Mercy lost control about midnight. She took a lot of red wine mixed with white wine and whisky and she was all over the place,” That kind of combination taken in large quantities by someone who is reported to be a first time drinker would make her forget anything not just her phone or handbag.

"Sclastica said that she and another young woman named Jackie moved with Kabogo to another room to finish their drinks. She said Mercy broke a few glasses and threw picture frames around" I really don't think they had gone to "finish their drinks" that's probably why Mercy got mad, couldn't believe her friend was into that.

I think the person who sealed Mercy's fate was her friend Scholastica, who is also her distant relative. She's the one who invited her to that party, she's the one who let her drink herself senseless and she's the one who abandoned her when she had totally lost control of herself. She is also the only one who Mercy's family (being a distant relative) expect to give a true account of what really happened that night. As long as she continues to be Kafogo's alibi then nothing will come out of this case......sad but true!

DN pg 6. And i quote:

Another witness Ms. Veronica Mutheu, a receptionist at Wasini Luxury Homes, said an intoxicated Ms. Keino was seen fondling a bodyguard of Mr William Kabogo.

Everybody agrees that she was intoxicated. One of the witnesses said that Mercy told the gal she was with that "I will tell your mother what you do" I believe that that statement has more to it.

That statement makes absolute sense. For those like me who have seen newbies drinking, we know that the sense of morality is spiked during some sessions. Whatever they are thinking about, they want to say. Most of the time, it is what others do not want to hear. That's why some people are known to cry for hours after drinking, like Magigi.

So whatever she knew is important.

Another witness, receptionist Veronica Kithome narrated how Mercy spent her last moments at the party.

She said she saw her kissing and fondling with one of Kabogo’s bodyguards. Veronica said that Mercy “kept pushing and pulling the young man. She would follow the young man but he kept resisting her advances. At a point I found her lying on the couch while making funny noises. She was kicking the young man.”

According to her, Mercy became violent late at night and threw a glass at her. Veronica said a commotion ensued thereafter on the terrace where they were drinking. “Her behavior was not normal. I think she had taken one too many. Even the guards who tried to calm her said she was behaving like a mad woman,” Veronica said while being cross examined by lawyer Stanley Kang’ai, representing Kabogo.

At one point, Veronica said Mercy threatened Scolastica that she would report what happened to her aunt. A third witness, Pauline Olwando, served the guests at the party. She confirmed that Mercy started misbehaving after she had drunk several glasses of wine and whisky. She said Mercy broke a bottle of Tusker Malt and threw a glass at her but she ducked.

This "going to finish their drinks" is driving my imagination wild.

Why was Kafogo going to finish his drinks elsewhere?
