In the areas Zuku is in there isnt any other solid competitor so it can jackup prices, build up cashflow for more expansion and will lower when a solid competitor joins the party...

The middle class areas still being ignored, Buru, Donholm, Pangani, etc Runda already has fibre from Telkom,Zuku etc, also checked Tanzania's 4G rates they are so cheap compared to kenya.

What are you on about? These areas already have Zuku Fibre. Not to mention Access Kenya.

So wrote an email to JTL in reply to their sending me a form, asked them some simple questions.

No reply in 24 hours.

Seems they are no better than Zuku?

Moved to JTL Jan this year as part of my new year resolution to sack DSTv on that 5Mbps bundle and havent had a single downtime. Absolutely no regrets.
@Tobs delivered the android STB and it's been a happy marriage ever since.
By the way, that 5Mbps dedicated bundle(if you live in a less congested area) is faster than Zuku's 15Mbps shared, and at only 5k a month.
Their customer service is excellent!
Nothing beats JTL!

Hehe the router is not fancy just that it's bright green advertised speed is 5mbps but i get higher in speed tests upto 15mbps, by the way safaricom has started connecting fibre to the home on kiambu Road the connection connection is free and 10Mbps is 3,499/-, 20Mbps is 4,999/- and 40Mbps is 9,999/- hope this wakes up the other players to improve service especially zuku, I am cool with faiba for now.

KulaRaha If you have some of them fancy Tvs try to stream live games say the Euro or use Kodi and see if your pictures hang. Usifurahishwe na speedtest results coz most of the time the server you are sending your pings to is the same jtl dns server so it will return lower ping latency n higher bandwidth readings.

So Zuku ran this promotion over Valentine's. In my case, they offered a 20% discount and some loyalty points if I renewed the subscription for March right then. 660/- saved. I thought it was a good deal and took it. It turns out they just wanted my cash but did not want to uphold their end of the bargain. Today, my account was disconnected for a "short-fall of 660/-".
I have tried to call their helpline and it is not connecting. After 10 attempts, I have given up.
This has all the hallmarks of a SCAM.
CA has some mechanism where aggrieved citizens can direct complaints of rip-offs like this one surely? Anyone else affected?

Zuku is rubbish service in its purest form. Absolute rubbish.

And now with Safcom fibre, they are in a full blown panic.
