Using some common sense in reading the text and a bit of mosaic theory, this tells me this is a temporary transaction meant to clear the way for the strategic investor to come in. What we should be asking ourselves is how much did Plum pay for the stake and how much is it likely to be sold to the strategic investor.

When will the strategic investor come in to be milked by Plum ?

Not to be shared with the rest of the shareholders.

Isn't that precisely what Plum was quoted saying in the Reuters link posted in the thread?

"The partners of Plum LLP ... determined to purchase the acquisition shares so as to provide Britam and its shareholders the time they require to identify a strategic investor with the institutional fit to drive Britam's growth in the future," Plum said.

3. Equity Group Holdings Ltd - P.M is the chairman.

In short P.M. is the one to bag-hold this entire deal similar to C.K's Centum majority acquisition with a takeover exemption.

Let's see how this PPT works out as support is being enforced at 14.00 handle.

@hisah you are likely to miss this vehicle defying your lunatic theory of 6/- after a big plunge .

I don't engage in monkey business. BRIT & TCL are just telling stories without substance. The market can remain irrational for a while, but eventually it reverts back to balance in the long run.

In other words, the 'ordinary' shareholder, who is not an insider, has been cut out from buying the shares at a discounted price.

It was willing seller willing buyer case here. The Mauritius did put the offer for sale to the public and Munga so it was good to increase his investment. Business person, clever chap. That why the share price went down with the force of Gravity call translation theory making Mauritian to drop it quick to save money. That where i brought the word if anyone can recall "SCREW the Mauritian Gov"

Liar Liar Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you
You can't say that. Munga has created WEALTH and used it to assist others more than the Meralis who siphon their wealth to their former mother countries. These Kenyan Billionaires have paid school fees for many , created employment and wealth for many.
I hereby vote that Munga take over the stock that could have been sold to outsiders who would siphon our wealth out.
Infact the shares were floated and you did not buy them and you accuse Munga?
Did you know Munga Equity changed Kenya for great? You can see Barclays winding up due to battles on their faces from Local banks
Kenyans are peculiar a people, the love for foreign goods and services then we engage in Demos!!!!
