Hope we will get to see what he can do at the airline...
Proper....proper fellow.
Nothing much if he is holding the horses for the cartels. Without cargo business, KQ won’t be able to compete with those E190s.
I tend to think that Allan is a product of Peter Muthoka, a close ally of Uhuru who owns a cargo handling business in JKIA. I strongly believe he is just another Ngunze who was made the CEO to ensure the interests of the ruling elite are taken care of while public entities suffer.
The firm handling China Southern cargo which ideally KQ cargo subsidiary should be doing to complement the revenues belongs to Peter Muthoka.
Cartels and their interests in JKIA and aviation especially the lucrative Cargo business won’t allow a public enterprise like KQ to thrive at all. Ethiopian have beaten us 100% and nothing will ever change the tide as it is now.
KQ won’t be able to restart operations without the bailout from the government as it stands now.
The charter flights revenue for KQ is a drop in the ocean. Ethiopian recently deployed 4 B777s to pick up cruise lines staff from Orlando.
