Many teams go on and have gone on unbeaten run for longs stretches of the league so why should it be talked about it as an achievement that can be compared to a 49 game unbeaten which included a whole league season?

That is why most mature Man U fans don't even bother mentioning that more-so when it involves those now fashionable two goal leads. So the laughter and question is not whether it is right or wrong but in the context in which it is used. I shall thus laugh again.
