Failure to buy eabl pre split @79 bob and i had 50k then...was misled into buying a junk plot..i later got fed up with the plot and asked for my money back, which the seller has been refunding in bits...
any way had i bought eabl then it would have gotten me 600 shares ,a bonus of 1:5 would have earned 120 shares giving a total of 720 shares,and with the split--would have become 3600 shares @ todays price of 181 would translate to 651000k..hapo nilitupa mbao zote.

this makes me very fearful whenever i think of plots.

The utimate goal of investing is to buy low sell high;if we re-write this core equation in psychology terms it becomes buy fear sell greed.

Best Run: Buying KQ at 23.5 getting out at 59 for more than 150% gain. Using proceeds to buy MSC at 11.1 selling at 13.65 - 20% using money to buy KENOL at 84 to now - 20% gain. String of good luck.
Worst: Buying MSC at 60, selling it at 29 - even after I calculated its NAV at about 11 or so. Plain stupidos following the herd.

@cnn

Yes we do!!!

I am thinking ARM itself or am I married to ARM now that I am 840% up over six years and yet I refuse to shuka the bus.
if you look closely at the market then the potential in counters like - Safaricom, Kengen, Co-op, NIC, Scangroup.
If we are arround 8 years from now, find me and let's spend some of the money I will have made on these counters on some Tusker Malt baridi.....

@all - your thoughts.

Have u guys no faith in the new Centum strategy?

Centum just might soar between the 4th and 8th year from now if everything goes according to their strategic plan... and if they don't bite more than they can chew RVR-style.

qw, i agree that centum will realize great growth. But theirs is a 3 year strategy and getting in now is maybe a tad too early. Wouldn't you rather (as you have stated before) we double our money with the likes of mumias and some agricultural stocks? But evidence from this week, points that it doesn't matter which stocks you buy, everything is going UP UP UP! And qw, please revive the 'The following stocks will rise this week' thread. We also appreciate your aspect of t.a investing.

Centum competes in the same space as wazurians, except for some unquoted stock. So if you always beat the market why invest in them?
