@VVS - Props for your predictions. Quite impressive picks for this year. Have u checked out Ghana? There's banks there trading at a PE of 5 - and the oil production starts this year. Some bargains to be had there.

@ MV_Ufanisi - How do I trade in the Ghana stock exchange? It sounds like there is some money to be made there.
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

I am not sure whether Williamson will make the 200/- price though I am confident about their profits for 2009-10 will be excellent.

WTK @ 240/- today. Your prediction was quite modest then.

Hey Maich Black, I went through www.ibrokerghana.com it's run by CAL which is one of the banks there.

@VVS I'm thinking CAL. They seem more nimble than GCB which people seem to be complaining about on the internet. Their PEs are almost the same but I think CAL might be quicker in taking advantage of opportunities.

See their financial reports here http://www.calbank.net/l...s.php?pg=178&pp=122

They have a reputation for being one of the most innovative banks in Ghana - which is a pretty good thing going into 3rd quarter this year when the oil money starts flowing.

Oil closed at $81 or so on 31 March 2010... KQ will see some nice hedge gains...

@VVS oil has already hit $85 on the positive USA jobs report on friday and analysts say $90 is a key resistance level. so if it can break that......

High oil prices NOT good for KQ in the long-term... I prefer lower oil prices = lower ticket prices = more net sales

For KQ's 2009-10 announcement due in 5 weeks... the price that will be used to calculate hedges is as of 31 March...

@VVS that is one reason i dont like KQ shares and my exposure to it remains very low... the oil market is very volatile and has recently been a speculators play ground... i personally think they should quit hedging and brave the risk..

oil July 2008: $147(pre downturn)
oil march 2009: $32 (downturn)
current price: $85 (post downturn)

i just hope they can get their prediction right this time because there are plenty of bulls and bears on the price of oil...
