ADD is the design school at UoN that @Alma and myself attended. I would summarise the thread as below. 1. vetting a consultant using a free for all forum is unwise coz they can create fake users and give a false positive impression. also jealous characters can do the same with negative posts. the smart way is thru arbitration bodies eg AAK who regulate and fairly arbitrate such issues daily.
2. consultants have niches they operate with. its illogical to source a consultant who might not be willing to take you as a client. niches help in that new players get to have clientele as they grow. if bigger firms take all jobs new graduants will be jobless, frustrated or change careers, altering demand supply curve.

I had contacted @A4 sometimes back seeking advice regarding a certain project. He is such a honest, humble man. very knowlegable and proffesional.Unlike many of us,he didnt take advantage to manoeuvre, manipulate but to guide.I gathered valuable information.
@binti post header kind of rude. Ni kama @A4 amekula mbuzi zake.

@Tokyo, good to know that I have been to your assistance . the reason am generous with knowledge is coz I believe info should be shared freely. I enjoy what I do and would even work for free. I get paid to enjoy myself.

Honestly Nabwire its a good idea to take some tea in the morning before shouting. It may give you some clarity.

Who told you I'm a designer? Who told you I personally know A4? Who told you I'm going for A4's clients?

A4 Architect? And of course you believed him.

Chill, that's the second time you are making a fool of yourself on this thread.. Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

Some of us would summarize this thread as such

1. Everyone has a right to vet anyone as they see fit. If I want to vet you in a bar, I will vet you in a bar. If I don't want to use AAK or DPP or the Police, I don't. I will vet you how I feel comfortable.

2. If you tell me how you prefer to be vetted then I will be worried that you are colluding with your brethren to steal from me.

3. Only people who have created fake users can advise us on how these same users can be used for fake reviews, fake positives and fake negatives. Very interesting such a topic can come up on a thread very similar to another user with 3 posts who asked similar questions on the same character.

4. I have not seen anywhere on this thread where the services of this ADD fellow were sought. But I may be wrong, please post that sentence here. What was being sought was a review of his services from someone who has used them.

5. After 125 posts only 1 review has come in from Tokyo. The rest is filled with red pens and innuendo. Very telling indeed.

6. Professionals don't abuse their potential and non-potential clients in public.

7. Professionals don't say their potential clients are stupid for not having gone to the same school they went to.

8. Professionals follow strict ethical guidelines at all times. Especially when dealing with matters in the public sphere. They can keep their ego laden opinions to the country club.

Hopefully by that time we can stop meandering about this topic and A4 will have talked to a few of his friends to say more good things about him.

Otherwise as it stands I will leave my own opinion on the credibility or otherwise to my fellow gang of uneducated, unprofessional haters, and client stealers.

Let me go design a house for Nabwire.Laughing out loudly

@kaka2za...hehe...its more than an obsession. its now become free entertainment. @alma,continue venting. they say venting is healthy...it helps relieve pent up anger that might otherwise burst a nerve. the design school lecturers akina swazuri must be really proud of you. all that real estate education we gained together at ADD is now being perfectly employed....lol

@mkeiy, hehe...the most we can do now is expect more and more bile to be thrown here, coming from someone whom we attended the same real estate university with. @alma, i understand where u r coming from. Kenyan real estate is big enough for us all without fighting. Pull up your energies and plunge in. No need to pull down those whom you deem to be making it through. Am sorry to learn you left a real estate career to web design.

When the big boys take all jobs including small ones, like i said, it becomes impossible for startups to thrive, altering the demand supply situation. Leave web design and come join us in real estate where our bowls are overflowing .We will gladly share with you.

"Binti: Can anyone on this forum vouch for A4 for a construction project?

Tokyo: He is a wonderful human being. He walks on water like Jesus before designing your building.

AnotherClient: God speaks to him every morning. But beware that your project must be worth at least 1 Billion Shekels.

Binti: Thanks all
"

Kwisha maneno!!!

Who are these dictating where we should vet professionals.. We vet Supreme Court judges in public sembuse an A4 size architect???

This one is suggesting that we should vet someone by contacting them...

Like A4, no one asked me about myself, lakini let me say that I can consume 32 beers in one sitting. Those of you only offering 2 beers this evening, Note that I've left that space to recent graduates.

Enough of the drama.

A4 Architect is not anonymous but a long time member here in wazua and has contributed a lot of free advice on the real estate industry (Thread question for a4architect and others) and therefore please please lets all respect him. Also he has a website(www.a4architect.com) and there are his personal contacts through which one can contact him and get a briefing free of charge on any project one would want to undertake in real estate. This is a free world and one is free to choose any professional depending on circumstances.

Seems there's an urgent need to review the architecture syllabus at UoN and include the following as core units, since the graduates appear seriously wanting in some key areas:

ADD 1001 Public relations
ADD 1002 Common sense & wisdom
