"CIC Insurance rallied 8.42% to close at 5.15 and traded 1.68m shares worth 8.693m. CIC Insurance was introduced via a Listing on 18th July. The Price Discovery Process saw CIC retreat 22.8571% July 18th through July 25th and has subsequently snapped 27.16% higher July 25th through todays Close." Rich

If NSE allowed both going long and short, bull and bears would make good money here. As it is at right now, very few have been able to grab the share when the downtrend reversed. Dont be caught chasing this bus.

This price action whiplash feels like forex day trading. I believe many fx traders will agree with me here... Dizzy stuff!

They have to be really very good to push prices to those levels.

Coop has 4 subsidiaries and only 1 associate (CIC). Check page 2 of coop 2011 annual report to see the subsidiaries and page 87 to see investment in associate.

A look of Q1 and H1 2012 Coop Bank share of profit from CIC is as follows:
Q1 2012: KES 121,502,000 which then declined to KES 110,291,000 in H2 2012.

BIG Question is what halted the good run from Q1 2012?
