If anyone had a look at the bids yesterday & the ridiculous price quotes of less than 10, caution! The same behaviour was spotted on TCL & Britank and Uchumi on relisting. I doubt they can repeat the revenues & profits 2011 incredible run. KE econ is already limping then remove Tz and their revenues are exposed!

If the stock loses 7% today, it'll be sub listing price.

This BD article is funny. "Longhorn share price surged 43% on its debut on a single trade."
Let's breakdown the ramp hype. How massive was this trade to push the price 43% up? 1000 shares! What a pathetic ramp hype!? And to make it worse, they wrongly state the price closed at 20/-
Does BD have a chief editor?

How does the performance of the economy affect the number of school children requiring textbooks??

Due to the constant revising of editions The demand for textbooks seems very solid and constant to me..

What is the basis for those arguing that revenues will not be repeated in 2012??

http://www.businessdaily.../-/11um7xi/-/index.html[/quote]I thought I saw a trade at 15/- for 3,200 shares as well. Would that not decrease the VWAP substantially?

85% of their sales comes from primary and secondary school books (page 32 of IM). Government is their single largest buyer (page 27). With economic slowdown, you don’t expect the government and other buyers to go on a books buying spree

… and that bloody Tz shop, its been lossmaking since inception, more than 5years ago!!!

Now that FPE funds have been delayed, how will this affect the finance costs of Longhorn?

The business of school books is very political. Right from getting KIE Approvals to winning contracts to supply GoK institutions.

Then put Nyammo into the mix... all with memories of KFB, and the whole thing becomes too risky.

It will probably go the Olympia way....

Political control over FPE funds is coming to a close shortly. Remember that.

... Prof. Samson Kegengo Ongeri (a top 10 shareholder) is now out of Ministry of Education. And with the new government structures being put in place, the value of political cronies connection is diminishing. Eating time for Longhorn is up

I think Wazua removed that option over a year ago.
