I think the 30GB was an extreme occurrence, that safaricom choose to use to support termination of the unlimited service.

@Kratos I agree with you if you have the option of getting service from different providers pick one that is most suitable for you and makes you happy,this was a hard move to take but in the long run am positive as a shareholder that it will be for the good of the company...You have a free will on this...

SAFARICOM IS CRAP. TO HELL WITH THEM. They are not a monopoly any more. Am happy using Airtel Edge huku mashambani where we have no other option. Its better unlimited Edge than bundles. Was happy freelancing on Safcom unlimited but now that they have withdrawn it, Airtel is the only other option. Yu cannot even load pages. Am lucky the Airtel Edge can even stream some Internet radios. If I had Safcom shares I would sell them at 2bob. If Airtel were listed at NSE I would buy their shares even at a premium.

Its practically impossible to download 30GB on speeds of 512kbps over a period of 24hrs.. speaking from experience i once tried downloading season 23 Survivor which was 5.23GB. and had 250 seeds on the torrent and it took me 10 hrs to complete.. so Bob collymore more should tell that to the Birds.
If i showed you where i live, you would think that i was hiding.

Are you serious??? A company that has NEVER made a profit since inception - under whatever name - Kencell, Celtel, Airtel whatever!!! You are better off with Paka and Olympia.
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

at 512kbps one would need around 130 hrs to download 30gb of data, assuming the connection is perfect with no overheads.

Still following this thread to find out where I should decamp to.
Zuku/Orange/Airtel

Points noted so far.
1.Poor customer service
2.Poor speeds
3.Cost.All are cheaper than saf.

Which should overide the other?d'oh!
Torn btwn airtel and Orange.

Don't know much about shares please enlighten me, but I thought the perceived value counts somehow, facebook has never made a profit since inception.
