Again the NHIF is an expense and not a saving meaning it has to be taxed. I'm not an accountant though. The opposite of courage is not cowardice, it's conformity.

The difference in the two is that for personal policies there is sum assured in case of death and the purpose of relief is to encourage people to have policies. For nhif the gov is looking for cash through the back door! The opposite of courage is not cowardice, it's conformity.
