rwitre wrote: Cytonn named most innovative property developerLINKQuote: Cytonn Real Estate has been recognised by the International Finance Magazine as the most innovative community developer (mixed use) in Kenya during the International Finance Awards that took place on November 18.
The category is won by companies that demonstrate excellence in the residential and commercial property space in emerging markets. . . Besides The Alma, Cytonn has other real estate projects including Amara Ridge in Karen, The Ridge, RiverRun, Taraji Heights, Applewood and NewTown. The company says it is running property developments worth a total of Sh82 billion.
This is all just PR fluff. That is a meaningless award in a very narrow, niche category (probably the only entrant from Kenya). Meanwhile, no CMA data on this supposed REIT so either not regulated or only for private placement with "sophisticated investors"

The article doesn't show it is a ponzi scheme! Yes, I didn’t say it said that :). My opinion and yours is also valid :) The article brings up flags and it’s up to the individual to make up their own mind on whether to trust the firm. Have a good week!

The article doesn't show it is a ponzi scheme! So CMA will watch investors getting burned at NSE, but will be used by a bank that's jittery about competition to strangle the new kid on the block who is attracting more new clients? And how are there only 5 banks in Kenya that can be trustees? Our market needs to evolve.

Why are the other banks declining trusteeship? I wonder Conventional thinkers waste time building shelters when they are unnecessary and then have no shelters when they need them the most. Socionomists do the opposite.

I wonder Coop: "Channel your funds to our bank deposits or we'll stop being your trustees" Stanbic Bank: Not sure The other 3: Likely saying "Less competition in the money markets, better business for us"
