I see KK have been allowed to pursue the Kshs 4.6 billion award in court. The high court dismissed the PO filed by KPC seeking to dismiss KK's case! I wonder whether we'll see more fireworks!!

Associating KK with KQ's status is doubling your risk of incurring the wrath of one untouchable intelligent bully here in wazua.

Though I currently hold none, I seriously thought that all of their problems were behind them. The business is doing good. The price controls seem to have favoured them and other OMCs. Expansion inaendelea. Share stagnant for months. But I guess it's more opportunities for those interested and with cash to buy.

There was a trade at 11 but less than 1,000 shares... The price shouldn't close that much higher today

I never attempt to make money on the stock market. I buy on the assumption that they could close the market the next day and not reopen it for five years.

i guess when you've made the best out of stock you can come up with whatever quote that comes to mind..

I doubt he'd say the same when he was starting out.. especially when investing with other peoples money..
i remember same argument from guys who'd swore on their mothers' graves safcom would touch 15 upon listing only to wax philosophical at 3 bob.. ati "i bought to hold for 20 years" Yeah...Right!! Tehehehehe!

@ProverB - I bought more KK this morning... safcom at 15/- was pure speculation! I sold at 6/- & that was a great decision for me!

I went deep into the shaggz of Central last month. Never knew KK was so widespread. Perhaps I didn't care/look until I bought KK shares! In some areas, KK is 'the pentlol stashon' aka the only one in town. If you go towards Aberdares, etc you will even pass a KENOl Township!

I was on the Mombasa-Malindi Rd last year. Lots of petrol stations including a good number of KK. Nowadays, many only fill up at brand names. This should move volume for KK. Why fill up at ShadyJoint Petrol Station for 95/- when KK is also 95/-?

I have not made a road trip (recently) to Western/NEP/North RV lakini I hope Wazuans can tell me about KK stations.

I have seen KK is Uganda [on the main Entebbe-Kampala Rd], in Zambia [Lusaka], Tanzania [Namanga-Arusha-Dar]... I understand KK is among the top 5 in Ethiopia as well [lakini low margins]... Top (35%) in Burundi & Rwanda.

My point is I have done my research... I have my info... Now to wield the hammer!

@vvs. Thanks 4 ur research on KK. About WB, he also said something like 'wide diversification is required for those who don't understand the market'. I've KK, KCB, COOP & KPLC. I wonder what WB wud say about my picks.

Kk might be a good buy though i have an issue with the oversight management of the company. When one Mr Segman is the CEO & still the chairman then the oversight control of the company becomes a one man affair though a board exists & it suppresses fresh new ideas & strategies that migth assist the company in becoming much better. Truth be told in East & Central Africa Kenya is the largest consumer of fuel@vvs most of the kenyan stations you saw were from the era when one Mr Biwott was the total man in govt.

@erifloss - I do not know how 'old' the stations were. biwott 'dropped' out of power 9 years [2002] ago so that might be a good indicator. How did KK get such traction in Central [considering the anti-moi/biwott streak there?]...

BTW, I got into KK after 2002 as a shareholder in Kenol [Kobil came later]
