But these chaps also. When we expect half year results, they start giving us this BS..eish

They think we'll exit prematurely?????Shame on you Shame on you

Take profits then wait and watch. These developments point to a troubled ARM desparate for a bailout by LaFarge group. Bamburi has huge cash reserves for M&As. At this point it is better to play ARM shortterm and buy Bamburi longterm.
Life is short. Live passionately.

Sometimes it takes 10 years to collapse, ARM kicked out Bamburi from its Board in 2009

@PesaNane - You know what to do.

New CEO has been headhunted.
New Chairman - Linus Gitahi
New Director.
Deputy CEO is out.

Isn't Linus Gitahi chair of Home Afrika board? Has he become a boardroom vulture, chairing boards of dying/troubled companies?

And why is Paunrana's exit being announced as a footnote, as if the exits of board chair and deputy MD are more significant?

Spoke to a major contractor recently. They told me that they avoid using cement from the original 3 manufacturers - Bamburi, EAPCC, ARM. Reason: their products are not reliable! They work well today, but tomorrow they let you down. "When you are doing major construction work on towers and bridges, you need consistent quality of cement and these 3 companies can't guarantee us that".

I hope he can guide ARM to have better corporate governance. Home Afrika is not a shining example but to be fair he came in AFTER the crap had exploded. Someone has to chair the messy firms. The Safaricoms have no trouble finding chairpersons.

PHP isn't out yet so I guess it wasn't relevant info BUT I hope they get a AAA CEO. Niko ndani!!!

Bamburi?
I am a layman in matter of cement but I have to say that I would take "Bamburi" [marketing, brand, "international", etc] over the others. I might be wrong.

We were at financial reporting seminar and the facilitator displayed ARM HY 2017 income statement. Someone wondered why their revenue has dropped by such a big margin. The contractor offered the explanation...

Thank God it was financial reporting and not investment. I would have been worried
