I dont see a problem for potential buyer when company is listed. Actually, stock market is a good place to raise money for business. However, if you are buying company which is in deep trouble, then this might be really huge problem, regardless if company is listed or not

What is the occupancy rate of the tower?
I remember sometime back I read somewhere a Britam official was quoted as saying with a lot of maringo that they did not want just any kind of tenant. The place was high class and they were looking for for sophisticated tenants. As economic times get worse itafika wakati someone will say bora tenant like the desperate bora bwana when a lady gets to 35.

Last year, the private equity firm bought 360.8 million new shares from the underwriter at Ksh5.7 billion.
The aggressive buying spree means that AfricInvest’s total investment at Britam stands at Ksh6.2 billion. Meaning when bull run returns there'll be less liquidity (since they are unlikely to sell) and faster price appreciation. #Post 1186 of 10th January, 2019. Considering the current price of 6.60/= per share and doing some simple calculations, it is obvious that some few paper billions have hitherto been lost by AfricInvest. Those who thought that it is only rookies who lose money at the bourse should think twice. This huge paper loss by AfricInvest proves that NSE can easily make billionaires shed premium tears too. The NSE is truly and surely not for the faint-hearted. A lesson learnt.
Half year 2020 Loss of ksh.2.3bn https://www.nse.co.ke/issuer-announcements.html
This was always expected given that Britam is heavily invested in NSE equities which have been bleeding big time.
