Expect crazy traffic kesho if county govt follows up on its directive. No mats allowed in town. Jogoo road mats to terminate at Muthurwa, Thika rd, Kiambu rd, limuru rd & Waiyaki way mats to pick n drop passengers at Fig tree Ngara. Ngong road mats at Railways.

Since the commuter living along Ngong road and working along Thika Rd will find it hard to walk from railways to Fig tree, expect more weekend drivers on the roads!

Also, I hear parking fee is down to 200 bob

This is dumb populist policy aimed at earning some fake points with mwananchi in the name of appearing to be working. Any smart urban planner knows that public transit is the solution to traffic. Private cars carrying one passenger each are the problem. No way this sticks for anything more than a few days.

Have they even considered how this policy affects the sick, elderly, pregnant women and PWDs? Totally insensitive

How City of London Solved the problem:
1. Introduction of High capacity Buses with dedicated lanes
2. Underground train system
3. Hiking of parking fees

And how Sonko intends to solve the problem:
1. Continued licensing of 14 seaters
2. lowering of parking fees
3. Restriction on standing passengers on circular/diametric routes thus making investment on high capacity buses unattractive

Result:

With the chaos in the Public service sector and lowering of parking fees people will opt to use their personal vehicles thus exacerbating congestion.

In Kenya, all rules/laws are passed looking the convenience of those passing them, not the people.

CBD removal of matatus only helps Sonko and his idiots...they drive into the CBD and now will find parking etc.

Also, the reduction to 200/= again helps them.

Kenyan politicians don't do anything for the good of the people. Ever.
