That is hubris. Fellows who think they are macho, studs, the gift to the women are usually not as good as they think they are. Talk to women honestly and frankly, they will tell you.
And this is particularly acute with chaps deeply set in traditions and patriarchy, where women are muzzled; they can't challenge, critique, advise or steer the men.
It trickles to the sex too. Brooking no input, guys just pound ferociously and then thump chests afterwards, thinking they are lions ...."kũhũra ndĩrĩ",..its called in my vernacular
It doesn't matter what men do, (or women do) there will be people who will step out on their partners, masturbate or engage in
deviant sex acts -and it happened even in antiquity, and hence it is not a thing unique to modern society. There always are outliers.
Its just that we are more individualistic and open, and hence seeing a dildo in a handbag does not bring forth the apocalypse.
Your idea of a well ordered, conservative and religious society where people are pious and responsible will not take away the lust; It just pushes it into the darkness.

I am not arguing. Men have not failed women. A man fails his wife, or wives, or girlfriend, or girlfriends.
And vice versa. Individual.
There is nothing men, as a collective, can do to satisfy women, as a collective. There will never be a time when any proportion of women will be satisfied by men, and vice versa.
I disagree with it because it inherently seems to suggest that this is an ill which can be remedied by men behaving in a certain better way or doing certain things. No. It isn't. You can only affect your little corner and the people in it.
