From the insight I got recently, airtel is experiencing a robust numbers in active subscribers due to their bundles/package offering... In the past they've been yearning for a buyer but that has considerably changed recently...

However their greatest undoing will be they have no investments in fixed data and related services... It would have been an interesting experience if the telkom-airtel merger materialised...

Home fibre has given Safaricom the edge. Being rolled out to more and more estates. Soon to be merged with Home Security products. Collymore and team know what they are doing.

Home security with CCTVs and sending all this to a monitoring center may be a good profit center for Safaricom. Hooking up with G4S for a fast response makes it more attractive.

This can be rolled out to both residential and commercial buildings.

Zuku’s parent firm Wananchi Group has reportedly hired a US-based financial advisor Lazard Ltd to look for potential buyers as it plans to sell itself, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

Some of Wananchi’s majority shareholders who include Helios and multinational telco Liberty Global are said to seek about $500 million (Sh 50 Billion) including debt.
