i think it should be increased further. if the intention was to reduce congestion, then clearly they have failed big time. Kenyans are not yet ready for public transport

To Kshs.1,000 bob per day

suppose nairobians decide enough is enough and actually leave their cars home since they can't afford 1k per day (=rent), will the public transport system cater efficiently for all of them?

NO!

Problems can get out of proportion, and not only in the wee small hours. Don't let the problems eclipse the Master. Let the Master eclipse the problems.

I think yes, 90% of traffic jams are caused by private cars and matatus overlap and misbehave due to the long hrs wasted in traffic jams

If the traffic jam is reduced immensely am sure that the psv's will be reliable and sufficient for the city dwellers

It seems most people are in support of the new CBD parking charges but what about the Sh.200 to be charged outside CBD......

"The county government passed a law to increase fees for saloon cars parked in the CBD to Sh300 and Sh200 for those outside the CBD. Areas classified as being outside CBD include Buruburu Shopping Centre, Pangani, Muthaiga, Eastleigh, Ngong Road, Kombo Munyiri, New Pumwani Road, Lang’ata Road, Kariokor and Ziwani shopping centre."

Let them pay. There are also massive jams in those areas.
