I don't know the esoteric meaning of chess to the illuminati but if you find any tell me. I know the chess/checker board is important to the freemasons to symbolize duality like yin-yang. It's is many music videos/movies/photos basically if you're researching on the esoteric you can't miss bumping into it.
You have thought well @ChessMaster. And thank you for inviting me to share the results of my research with you.
What am about to tell you is not what the 'illuminati' understand about chess, but is more of my own synthesis and application of my research, prayer and meditation, and fortunately, my experiences as a player. But I will address the Illuminati issue as you have requested.
The game of chess is played on the 'Mosaic' board. Moses means Torah, and Torah, Genesis, and Genesis, essence. Therefore chess is the game of essence.
The physical objects used for play have for each, material and spiritual qualities, and though their field of play is finite in physical terms, the dynamics of the game spread into infinity and eternity.
The game, and the field are both dualistic and monistic. Perception and truth; relative, and absolute.
The aim of the game is to move from a lower state of equilibrium to a higher one through creating, and consequently, experiencing disequilibrium. Disequilibrium is created by movement and positioning. Capturing is killing.
Ideally, the game is to be characterized by wisdom, force and beauty. The Trinity.
Wisdom in calculation and positioning, force of material and capture, and beauty in the fluidity of execution.
Seeing this is illumination, and playing is construction. Hence the connection between Freemasonry and the Illuminati.
The father of illuminism was a Jesuit scholar who wanted to vanquish not just authoritarianism but also resistance.
The radical nature of illuminism had its way in the French revolution, and a King was decapitated.
The Illuminati became a grave threat not just to the Vatican, but also to itself. In fact, it destroyed itself before it was destroyed.
Hence illuminism is a style of play that goes against rules of nature and essence. Hence the association of the French revolutionaries with 'Metaphysical rebellion' as shown by Camus in 'The rebel'.
There may be other players who prefer this style of play. They may cause great harm, but their endeavours are short lived, and with proper education of the masses and good government they are easy to defeat.
