Quote:Shares in Malaysian Airline System Bhd (MAS) tumbled more than 20 percent to an all-time low on Wednesday as the national carrier's 3.1 billion ringgit ($1 billion) rights issue plan triggered fears of share dilution and uncertainty over the move.
MAS shares are down about 22.5 percent since the beginning of the year. In February, the company reported its worst-ever loss of 2.5 billion ringgit for 2011, surprising analysts who had expected its restructuring to limit losses.

All those who bought KQ all the way down from 30 were warned.i said many times it was going to single digits.A merger with ethiopian airlines and SA airways or a drastic fall in oil prices would change the fortunes of this airline.The court ruling today doesn't help either.

As a shareholder it makes me sick but I foresee an Uchumi style bailout as the only way out for KQ

A while ago I intimated that KQ running in it's current fashion will require a government bailout in by 2016 latest!

I expect sub-10. My conclusion was it's too risky even if it's technically oversold. It'll bounce due to selling fatigue, but fundamentals point south for now until there's a drastic change of events towards recovery. I expect capitulation to occur post results in 2013, which could push it sub 10/- for a while. I still foresee a special AGM soon and it'll be action-packed.$15/barrel oil...
