Demand a paltry 7K, most at 13.50 against 1.22M shares on the supply side! You must feel for the guys already locked in. Even more, you must ask yourself if the rights which should start trading in the market will have a negative or positive value! This one i will watch from the periphery! @SufficientlyP

Should they stop the rights altogether and cite non-approval by UG&TZ? The opposite of courage is not cowardice, it's conformity.

It will be very hard to convince tz given that the price at market is at level with intended rights and the worst yet to come. "Don't let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning."

Same thoughts, after *rights* issue if in bears, other things remaining constant this share will trade sub 10. Democracy does not belong to the dead

We might be ending there. The opposite of courage is not cowardice, it's conformity.

What happens when competition brings ticket prices down and global demand drives oil prices up?? What about austerity in Europe?? All plans have assumptions. KK 'projects' sales volumes yet if oil jumps to $200 then the sales (volume) will drop as people drive less, fly less, etc. Insurance firms 'project' premiums received & payments made. Multiple car accidents, a new disease, etc can increase payments beyond income. Likewise, KQ 'projects' but who knows what will happen? If KES had jumped to 150/- as many predicted then KQ would make much more in KES but now KES is back to 83/- Greedy when others are fearful. This one belongs to sub 10. Hope we don't get here before the new shares start trading! For the speculators, please keep off! And this you can take to the bank! Let the people who want to be heroes keep buying KQ.i have been saying this since the share was 30+ when they announced plans to do a rights issue. This is a massive dilution.Going back to under 10 and it will be hard to move this shares up.Airlines just like utilities(kengen, kplc, part of transcentury) require alot of capital to run. you were all warned.wait for under 10 shortly

Is there any fool willing to buy rights at 14 when the market offers the same cheaper??is there any careless underwriter who is still willing to burn fingers here? "Don't let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning."

I predict that there will be massive under subscription by the shareholders save only for the gorvenment and KLM. The rights are too many, maiking it too expensive for such an uncertain venture.

Talking is a waste of time, what you should be doing is looking for an entry point...they're not raising cash to eat...they're raising cash to buy assets.

I don't envy citibank as the underwriter with the share price currently on a nosedive ready to dip below 14. If the rights are under-subscribed heavily (most likely esp wanjikus) it won't be funny. At this point PPT should be stick saving the price plunge. This is quite an interesting scenario for the KQ rights. I can't recall a share that dipped below the rights price before on NSE - @vvs, @mukiha, @njunge - anyone recall this... $15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

People should stop discussing KQ? I got a good shave on them before i bounced but that's not reason to make me bitter. Let people talk, it breaks no bone and it ain't profanity.
