Good that the strike is over. The most interesting thing is the new term dates and exam dates. KCPE in Dec, 1st term 2013 to start in Feb. I dont know what they'll do with the issue of elections which are in March!

Ok I don't understand this.
If first term begins in Feb,does it mean that schools close in May instead of April and on like that?
Sep will be school holiday?
Am discombobulated.

Yes, all exams and term dates moved!

Furthermore, first term next year will start on Monday February 4 and end on Friday May 17, 2013. The second term will start on June 3 and end on September 6, while the final term will start on September 30 and end on November 29.

If you can read this, thank your teacher and support them! All of us started from nowhere to somewhere coz of the teacher. Did u even know how to hold a pencil? It was until the teacher taught u how to! Teachers r the most important pple in society coz they made u what u are today, of-course with the input of ur parents.

a shift of three weeks is not that big...nothing much will change.
again it will take may be two terms in 2013 to normalise the tours.
