The dead give-away was the immediate appointment of a new board and the sacking of county secretary, Kariuki. There could be a huge tender coming up at Pumwani. If today Sonko announced a Kes 1B project to upgrade Pumwani, everyone would be willing to support him. He sacked the County Sec because s/he rushed there to clean up a mess that was in the process of investigation. The board is not a hard pick a few doctors names here and there cannot be hard to get.
Pumwani has had a budget(s) and am sure there have been allocations of body bags and cooling sytems/rooms before why is this not being interrogated? Why are we acting like Kidero did not spend money on this hospital a while ago? In 2013, he launched a computerized record keeping system why is it that 5 years down the line, we are still confused on how many babies died at the hospital last week? Let us not act as if we live in a vacuum, the Gov should not be donating any equipment to the facility.
