Burly men. All clean shaven. Armed with a pistol. Where do they work? Where are the relatives to start screaming about their honesty?

Oh so the police shot randomly? Tell me another one. I have been carjacked and the cops knows this gangs. When this thugs are felled, it is not a random incident. Ask for the files of those dead and you will be surprised at how much info is there. Mostly likely those thugs might have been locked up before and see now, they are free. They could also be escapees or ex servicemen gone bad. Who knows? Why is Nairobi one of the safest cities? It is not by chance. Those thugs get no sympathy of mine at all.

Why are emotions running so high??? as a kenyan i can confirm those guys are badddddddddddd and always their rule is who sees the other firts the police or the thugs.

More when the police shoot them they know them en never random the way some members wants to belive.

Not for the broad daylight shooting and moreso infront of a school but somehow they have to be dealt with.
The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts while the stupid ones are full of confidence

@Fundament and QD, no one said these guys were going to play table tennis as @callaspade has said up there, but who said those cops innocent either, like someone has pointed out, maybe they've been colluding and the "thugs" decided to go it alone...whatever the maybe's, shooting people on a highway in the morning is impunity.

We are all saying the same thing from different perspectives. @Marty, what would appease you more, to know the guy who cocked the gun at your head ( by the way that is very scaring, pole sana) is in Kamiti for life being plugged by another inmate and will die of cholera when there's the next outbreak or that seeing him shot pap! Okay, that sounded sadistic but the point is that we need courts that will work so that these people can suffer for a long time as they deserve...summary execution is to easy a way to go!

Trying to defend any of this is sad indeed. My view is simple. If the commandant on the scene can lie to easily on what happened, what else can they lie about. Dangerous criminals known by cops, really? Please bring the proof, don't just shoot me.
I emphasize with those who've dealt with thugs but I am sober enough to realize that allowing police officers to run amok on their own citizens will take us back to Nyayo house chambers. Maybe some of you are too young to know what a country run by terrorist cops looks like. others like me aren't forgetting soon.

Sorry guys but I think I am old enough never to trust someone who has lied once with a straight face about a shootout by 20 armed gangsters vs 2 cobra squad members.

My advice to my policemen friends is "do not believe the hype"

People on this forum and your stations keep on telling you "umefanya kazi nzuri". The problem is that when you are caught, uko pekee yako like these three.

So be very careful what you do and say in uniform. your bosses will dump you and I promise you so will those on this forum who supported you. Uko pekee yako!

Who amongst the supporters wants to be in the shoes of these cops right now?

i am an ex cop.served the country for 12 years.thankless and stressful and job it is.sometimes you make the wrong decision when you hardly hard time to think.THE CASE IN QUESTION,CONSIDERING THE CIRCUMSTANCES,may be I would have made the same decision.but executing them in broad daylight after surrendering,i dont know.....!!!!

justice does not apply here, from a police man point of view the guy are criminals who will always find a way out of our corrupt system..they tried to hijack!!!!..if i was there i would have asked one of the officers to lend me his gun and add one more to the thugs . kuddos.

Surprising that police are taking the law in to their own hands 'because of corruption in the country'Pray
I care!

Kweli hili ni swali nyeti.I feel that it's wrong to murder "suspects" in cold blood on a highway. But when I read that they had a gun tucked in the trousers....who were they coming for?Me?You?
It is a tough one.
Only a cop can tell us what they go through.
