Chaos, losses in airport workers strike
https://www.businessdail...2682-rydl3bz/index.html

The photo has what look like KQ, not KAA, staff.
"Kenya Airways, which is the most heavily affected by the strike, in a court filing said it was losing Sh300 million revenue daily."

Ummh and why are KQ on strike?

As if KQ displays anything akin to a reliable organization. This one will be a good study of poor leadership & mismanagement.

I can write a whole book about how KQ has weak...kiss arse characters in senior management... Starting with the HR dept... Thats why major goofs are an everyday thing...

KQ, in its current form, should be put into administration and a "New KQ" should take over the good assets while ditching the liabilities not secured by good assets. Let the "New KQ" prosper!

One may become critically ill waiting for that to happen. KES 2 will never be sighted. Maybe KES 4.50 at the very extreme upon release of the KES 5.6B FY 2018 loss (forecast).. And thereafter a jump to KES 12 upon conclusion of the JKIA takeover plus Open Offer announcement. Remember at the moment there is KQ A and KQ B trading at the same time. KQ A has an ABP of KES 8.52 belonging to GoK, KQLC, , KQ ESOP while KQ B is held by the minority shareholders at ABP of KES 21.5 and it is this portion that is most liquid in terms of trading at the NSE. Was sad to see a volume of almost 1m shares being taken on the cheap yesterday at KES 5.65. A crime!

So the strike by KAA was a coverup for this;

https://www.businessdail...13386-en5eba/index.html

A jet fuel crisis is looming at the Moi and Jomo Kenyatta International(JKIA) airports, with stocks of the commodity expected to run out Thursday.

Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC), the State agency charged with transportation and storage of jet fuel imported by oil marketers, has warned that new supplies are not expected until Sunday, March 10.
