Maichblack.... Last season Defoe scored five (in one half of the match) against wigan when Spurs demolished Wigan 9-1. It was a good result for united but don't make it sound as if its the best we've seen in a long time because Chelsea have had a couple of big scores and Arsenal also thrashed Blackpool 6-0 juzi tu. The thing is Berbatov scored 5 yesterday but thats as good as it gets for him. Like i said earlier i was more impressed with Anderson and (hate to admit) Rooney.

@TAZ - Read my post carefully. I said that there are only four players who have scored 5 goals in an EPL game and half of them did it in a Man United Shirt. If you want the list, here it is:

1.) Andy Cole for Man United against Ipswich (9-0) 4 March 1995

2.) Alan Shearer for Newcastle against Sheffield Wednesday (8-0) 19 September 1999

3.) Jermain Defoe for Tottenham Hotspur against Wigan Athletic. (9-1) 22 November 2009

4.) Dimitar Berbatov for Manchester United against Blackburn Rovers.(7-1) 28 November 2010

He he he. You are just incredible @TAZ! You never run out of things to say no matter the situation! This [A player scoring 5 goals in the EPL] has happened only three times before! This makes your statement sound extremely hollow! Of all the great players we have seen in the EPL - and they've been plenty - Berbatov becomes only the fourth to score 5 goals in an EPL game.

One more thing @TAZ - The Man U 9 - 0 Ipswich scoreline is the best ever result in the EPL!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

@TAZ - Guess who are playing Blackpool on Saturday? Wanna hazard a guess on the scoreline? Be bold, Blackpool will be at home and the 'opposing team' will be playing mid week before and after that game not to mention the small matter of Dec 13th [A week after]!

Well after today's results we now know who is the King of the Hill. Great result for Newcastle that has finally knocked Chelsea off their perch. United are clicking into gear and it's not a moment too soon now that big games are coming up in December.

And kudos to the Arsenal for their result at Villa. I couldn't believe these were the same guys who threatened to humiliate us just a little while ago.

This weekend was the first weekend in Premier League history where all the 20 teams scored. 41 goals were scored in total.
Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

This will be a very tough match given that Liverpool have nothing much else to play for. They might just decide to focus on the FA. Add to that the rivalry between Man - U and Liverpool and you've got yourself an explosive match!

At least it's a home game for Man-U and until last year Liverpool's record at OT has not been too good. Still, it's bound to be a competitive match. Will look forward to it.

Tottenham have indeed become the masters of come from behind. It appears any team thinking of beating them will have to get more than a 3 goal cushion!
