So the strong rooms in banks are not being monitored by CCTV at night?

I thought they disconnected CCTV

The CCTV should have recorded the events until the moment when it was disconnected. Therefore there should be some footage of the thugs gaining entry into the bank/strong room. Unless they also made away with the hard drive.

They made 15b and fired 400.....

Over the last 2 years they have had separation with around 1,060 staff .........

Upon further reading, That Equity bank robbery was done with such precision you would think its a Hollywood movie. Where are the Kenyan movie producers?

Our thugs have achieved international standards, finally. They are now ISO certified.

I never mind white collar theft. What I really fear and hate is armed robberies.

Looking at the cut lock, the plate thickness would be in the region of 3/4" MS plate. Now, that would take a nozzle not less size 5/32" to cut with ease. I think the thugs were smart enough to know that, one set of oxy-acetylene would not have accomplished the job and therefore, they came with a spare oxygen cylinder ( It takes two to three cylinders of oxygen to exhaust one cylinder of acetylene). Now, when that jinga police commander says the implements were left behind, one can only laugh. What he sees down there must have been the first oxy cylinder.Poor man!!Pray ......btw, why would Equity be having strong room doors made of MS in this day and age??. That is sooo stupid!!Sad
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

I think the bigger question is why weren't any alarms set off.

On TV, bystanders are saying the alarms were being continuously set off starting at 12 am. Security responded to the alarms and came and were looking through the roof. Kumbe the burglars had gone in through a wall adjacent to an abandoned shop.

To me it seems there is some incompetence in our security just like KDF

such happens all over, hata in the west there have been some recorded daring heists.

even assuming we believe what bystanders at midnight smile are saying, if the guys came in through an adjacent shop the security guys would have gone round the bank and saw nothing then gone to the roof and saw nothing and possible thought its just crazy alarms going of, which happens at times in nairobery with power going on and of
