Dear Mukiha,

Thank you for being a member of Wazua. In the spirit of the season, perhaps three questions and the gift is yours...
1. What does your signature mean?
2. Why did you decide not to check out Wazua?
3. Which of the three gifts suits your fancy?

Welcome to Wazua

@Wazua:

1. My signature is complete and utter gibberish! It means absolutely nothing and was intended to get people wondering about it...still, there is the music that Njung'e alludes to...quite simply magical...perhaps more magical than "Carvana Magica" by the same artiste.

2. I chose not to check out Wazua because it can be addictive thereby spoiling my holiday

3. Dinner for two...choice of restaurant coming after consultation with the second party...

Choice made: Onami Westage

Cant believe Mukiha is not "sufficiently philanthropic"
The utimate goal of investing is to buy low sell high;if we re-write this core equation in psychology terms it becomes buy fear sell greed.

Eeeehhh @sheep, kwani you guys live together? How do you know what a guy's been upto all year? Unfair comment.

I respect the guys decisions. Personally I'd have sent something small to vision2030 then chew the dinner at Palacina.

Dear Members,

Member of the year 2009, voted by you is Njung'e followed by Mukiha. All votes were counted even where 3 or more people were mentioned [voters who thought outside the box]. Over 20 different users were commended. Thank you all for contributing to the success of Wazua.

Due to the overwhelming sentiment, we will recognize two winners. Let's give them advice on the best gift token to choose between:
1. Safaricom 3G modem with 1GB loaded airtime
2. Nakumatt gift shopping voucher
3. Palacina Hotel or Onami Westage dinner for two

@Njung'e and @Mukiha, to claim your selected gift token simply post your choice here before 25th Dec for your voters to see. We'll send you email immediately after on how to collect the gift.

Also for all members who contributed to this thread before this post, Wazua must offer you a show of gratitude in way of drinks at the 09th Jan Mbuzi.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I hope all had a great holiday... I had a blast... ate all sorts of meat...saw most of my folks and had great family time...on meat, still really looking forward to the 9th, has the venue been established???

Happy new year to all !!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope you enjoyed you holidays.

Let me take this opportunity to thank all of you for making the Dec 26 event successful.Despite the short notice ,we managed to raise a total of Kshs.21,500 including Kshs.10,000 from Wazua.

The event took off well .Six members attended including

Leona
Kingfisher
Gkchege
Sue
Sara
Vision 2030

We started by shopping at Nakumatt Wendani.

We bought the following items:
Baking flour, kiwi shoepolish,Bic pens,exercise books , Pencils,Toilet papers,jamaa Soap,Greeting card ,pads for girls,(ndegu)green grams,Quencher juice,Biscuit carton,
Pishori rice,Meat 5 kg,Vegetables-cabbages , onions tomatoes , mangos ,carrots
Total= 11,500
Balance 10,000

(More details posted in the charity google groups).

We decided to use the Kshs10,000 to set up a kitty to sponsor one good performing child for a year. This will make a more lasting impact on the society.

The matron identified three who did KCPE last year and have no one to sponsor them.We shall decide who to take based on the results.
The matron said that it cost Kshs.25,000 to take a child thro 1 year in secondary school .This means we are short of 15,000 to accomplish this years target.

Please let me hear your thoughts on our decision to sponsor One child since it was arrived by the six of us who were present.

@ kamaa

It is so near yet there is no mention on the venue...then they are saying drinks (I hope they also mean non-alcoholic) will be for the guys who posted before the above quoted post...I wonder if they'll have a list of wazua names (and how they'll verify). It seems funny that meat is for everyone and drinks for a few.

@ vision2030

Great to hear that things went well...The idea of sponsoring a child is good...will also motivate the others...

Dear Members,

The table is set; please get details and confirm attendance on Wazua Home - Meeting in the Sunset

@Vision 2030, thank you for the update. You can update us more and share pictures of the children on Wazua Facebook. Also, please consider making presentation at the 09th Jan Mbuzi - you may find your answer there.

Eh,this is a tough one. For me,almost everybody on SK is great for different reasons..depends on what angle you look at it from. It's like in school, every student had different talents and on prize giving day, people were awarded for their achievements in totally different fields. Best in maths,Best in languages, Best in drama,Best in sports..blah blah blah...

Anyhow,For Wazua,i'd vote for NJUNG'E. To me,he's the best overall. He's consistent, contributes wisely in all categories, Doesnt get into stupid brawls with other bloggers, respects others, smokes glue and sambazas..and above all,he's just a nice guysmile
