You think..!! The reality on the ground is, there are certain individuals who have been put on no-fly-list for security reasons on advice from US security agencies. However those same individuals can walk into a guns store and purchase a semi automatic weapon legally and proceed to upgrade the same to an automatic machine gun. Trying to put laws in place to zero in on such persons is opposed vigorously by NRA. 'Common sense laws'. Dont take this in the abstract, the proponents of these laws advocate for background checks before one is allowed to purchase a gun. Anyway as I stated they have laws pertaining to the ownership of guns, also if you look at their laws there are provisions hapo that prevent one from buying a gun, things to do with felony convictions and stuff. Thats why I asked you about common sense, you feel its common sense for one on a no fly list not to own a gun, but someone else will look at it differently, the point is they have laws on the same and they have ways of amending the same, and they have ways of electing people who do the same, its not like they are stupid.

I tend to agree with those who say that guns do not kill people, it's people who kill other people. Guns are just tools used to kill other people. They are just tools like knives which can kill. The fact that all homes have knives/pangas doesn't mean that knife crime and murders are high. So more gun ownership doesn't mean there will be more gun crime.

The fact that all homes have knives/pangas doesn't mean that knife crime and murders are high. So more gun ownership doesn't mean there will be more gun crime. I think the debate right now is... since guns unlike knives can cause real damage to huge groups of people (mass shootings) - why not regulate them better? Why not have background checks for ALL gun sales to weed out people we don't want having guns? that's the point of the image I put up... why not regulate it better? All Mushrooms are edible!
