Haiya!Drool Drool Drool Drool Drool

Fornication is explicitly forbidden to practice according to teachings of Quran and Prophet's sayings (Hadith). Allah (God) will not look at them on the Day of Judgment, and Allah (God) will put them into the Hell fire... except for those who repent. As those who repent Allah will accept their repentance.

Haiyah! You mean that bend-over was fornication live-live? Are there 'panya-routes'?d'oh!

@Alpha, all this time you could have been right, maybe I'm in the wrong religiond'oh! smile

I hope you understand that this is not islamic, and those participating are violating the rule of Islam which forbids music and free mixing of genders. Those who engage have always sank to the lowest level of immorality!!!!

I'm not saying all music is haram. Of course music is one of the most ancient ways of merrymaking and enjoyment to express various emotions. And in Islam we have legal music called nasheed (qaswida like this one).

But we know where these kind of dances came from. They were created by "bounce music" guys where they clap and bend-over. And now unfortunately, people are getting involved in this music without thinking, even the dirty ones like this!!! It has become a part of their life to listen to music and watch dirty videos like bend-over stuff.

So you can see the side effects of copying foreign lifestyles blindly. It is a pity that they do not stop and think of the effects of this kind of music on their deen.

I have always put across my views on haram things; pork, alcohol, fornication, adultery, mapango wa kando, mixing of sexes, and music & dancing etc.

So do I.

Slave mentality inquires for 'work' when the slave driver is engaged elsewhere.

We have to be realistic about this issue.

You see the young people want what the old people have got. They see Tom he has got a wife (or two). So this young man may not have the ability or stability to deal with a wife, but he wants a little girl.
He wants a little honey on the side. A cone of haram honey.

In Islam we say when a man gets to an age of responsibility, he should get married. All these young men who are 30s, 40s, 50s if they are responsible they should be married. And the young girls who are 30s, 40s etc if they are responsible put them in the house of the husband's father or even in the wife's father and let them get married. Safe them from zina

The only relationship which allows man to meet with woman in private, to touch her, or have an intimate relationship with her is marriage. Anything outside marriage in Islam is not permissible including dating. It is not even permissible to shake hands with a woman who is not lawful to you (apart from sister, mother, aunt, grandmother etc).

If a good man marries a good woman, both will prevents each other from going on the wrong path and keeps themselves on correct path. That's why the Prophet ordained the young men who have means to marry, they should marry and lower there gaze and guard modesty.

So my friend if you marry, it shields you from promiscuity, fornication, "fishingmongering" activities which leads to sin.

@Alphadoti, How did you get married? Did your parents bring a girl to you or did you hunt for you wife?
If its for former do you marry for love or for procreation.

I understand that in Islam you are allowed to marry up to 4 wives. How does this happen if the same religion doesn't allow sexes to mix?

Ama unatuma watu?
If Obiero did it, Who Am I?

@swenani how did I get married? I got married a long time ago through traditional ceremony, a few days after graduating from university, and formalized later at AG. We were not Muslims then. Her family and mine were friends, in fact her father and mine were raised together as brothers. I met her when she was in Form 1, I was in Form 4. And she is still my wife of decades, and she has bore me many children, alhamdulillah!!!

So I hunted for myself, we were not Muslims yet, but now all of us are Muslims, including my parents and siblings, her parents are on the way, they are considering reverting after seeing the change in her brothers.

Marriage is for both love and procreation. It's also for fun. Allah tells us that women are gardens for you, so plant your seeds in good gardens. And they are clothing to us, and we are clothing to them, we cover each other.

All options are allowed as long you follow rules:
1. Your parents can choose for you or
2. You identify one yourself or
3. You can send someone (like story of Khadija (radhi allahu anha)

You see nowadays, dating has been made to intimate acts like touching, kissing, you know them... which ultimately lead into premarital sex.

In Islam, no premarital sex is allowed. Yaani, dating as we see today that leads to premarital sex, is not allowed.

The choice of a spouse is considered an important decision a person makes, taken seriously.
(1). Prayer (@mukiri knows this),
(2). careful background checks, and
(3). family consultation.

Some of the qualities that Muslims do look for when choosing a spouse are:
(i). Virtue (her piety)
(ii). Noble (her family status)
(iii). Wealth (her wealth)
(iv). Beauty (her beauty)

You should choose piety, obedience to creator. Same holds true for those looking for husbands. We are not blinded by good looks, fortunate in terms of financial opportunity, or some form of class or status in society.

Of course, in Islam potential partners are allowed to meet, but in the open or group environment. This kind of courtship helps to ensure the strength of the marriage, because it involves family's wisdom and guidance. This ensures that the choice is based not on romantic notions, but rather on a careful, evaluation of inner beauty of the person. That is why these marriages often prove successful in the long-term.

So my brother, I assure you that, what lies behind that veil is treasure, something valuable, not accessed by everyone. (I cannot guarantee that this always 100%).

A long time ago, this dating thing wasn't there.
The ladies used to have long dresses and their dating didn't involve close intimacy that we see today.

And marriages used to last... high percentage of our parent are still married, true or not? But that's another debate.

Please remember:
- No woman or man can be married against his/her will
- Consent is very important
- Islam has given this freedom of choice to both young men and women - they cannot be forced into a marriage that they don't want.

NOW BACK TO WHAT WE DO ON OUR FREE TIME PLEASE!!!

I spend all my time infront of a screen except when I am running or eating (even then I can have a screen or two). I move seamlessly from work to hobby both of which are pleasurable to me. I read widely when in non-work mode! I facebook, wazua, read the nation, techcrunch then back to facebook then wazua... over and over until I get back to work mode.
I try to use the time in commute when i cannot use my screens to read a physical book! so technically I spend more than 16 hours infront of screens!

@masukuma , you described me, 100% . Any free minute is spent 'online' (constructively though) ..
I'm trying to reduce.. Need to create More time with friends over weekend etc. Especially after my "unusual migraines"..

I absolutely disagree with you guys. Whether you are proprieter of a conglomerate like Aliko Dangote or an employee like myself, you will invariably have some time in your hands when you are not actively engaged in work. I don't think there is anything wrong with looking for ideas on how BETTER to spend this time.
You need to get off your high horses.
