Indeed there is 'division' - they play different roles, have different names and as you point out, sometimes seem to have a mind of their own.
But the point is you would never think of them as separate entities from the whole 'you.'
The same analogy applies to the 'greater you.' The reality that surrounds you is an integral part of you, even though you have assigned different roles and names and qualities to different elements of it.
We get so deeply immersed in the game of 'human - being' that we tend to confuse an assumed illusion of separation for the ultimate real.

That's how if the toe is sick then the whole body is sick.
Whoa! Hold up there, brothers!
There is a disconnect. The 'body' has all sorts of physical 'linkages' and pathways within it and can be physically traced. Now the 'linkage' between one body e.g. mine and another body e.g. yours is, well, amorphous, vague and can only be talked of as such.
I am baffled by logic and to me it is a tremendous leap. A very important leap.
Furthermore, 'co-determination' implies an external supplement to my determination. It may not necessarily be a visible supplement nor even a human supplement. Is this then the bridge that enables the leap?
This bridge then, must be what or who seeks the unity, oneness, togetherness, love between all humans. Brother knows it or him and so do I.
