I actually made a comment on such a video that the rate of increase in chinese tourists is directly proportional to of poaching incidents.

At this rate I suspect that by the end of this century the only elephants that will be alive are those in captivity in the zoos.

if its gold or diamond I would understand since they are rare and only found in specific areas where nature decided to form them.

lakini ndovu, can't we just breed the same for tusks - if we breed people for hair, elephants should not be that hard.

the 'shainis' are not innocent since they are the destination of all these ivory - however, they are not the ones doing the trafficking ni ma Al-shabab and other unwanted groups.
