Most impromptu marriage promises are made in pubs men under influence. From now on, only drink with the boys! Btw, when you say you'll marry a lady, is there a time frame - legally speaking?

In my opinion, this bill has been designed by people who do not understand the institution of marriage well and the Kenyan situation. While attempts to "protect" the women in marriage are understandable,there is no need of making the marriage institution a prison. In fact, the bill may achieve the opposite: many young people will not dare to get married for the fear of facing the "consequences" in the event of a breakup. In effect, this will encourage casual relationships with no real commitment. Who wants to get into prison in which they can't get out?
Again, this bill is not aimed at creating peaceful coexistence between married people; instead, its main focus is the distribution of material possessions in the event of break up. A situation is envisaged whereby people will be getting married not because of love, but because they expect a huge share of wealth after break up.
Lastly, it is not clear which marriage values this bill will seeks to enforce or uphold. We can only assume that it is driven by prejudice against men. Live Full Die Empty - Les Brown.

Let me ask the ladies, why do you take a man's phone, get another girl's number from his phonebook or call logs and call her? Do you like abusing and arguing with a total stranger over the phone?
And what is it with ladies who say that if she cannot have you, no other woman will? the only person i know who was told this, is currently six feet under, usicheze na wanawake....

So now propose marriage but use a pre-nup.
I need to fully understand the consequences of a divorce or the appearance of a second wife which is really the intent of this bill.
I'm tired of my current wife so what happens if she came and found me with my plots and all she will just leave with her viragos?
