MaichBlack wrote:@AlphDoti - The last time I checked KU was in problems with the Engineering Board for starting Engineering courses without a single qualified lecturer in the areas of specialization, no labs etc. Did they ever sort that out? And how serious is their Computer Science program? KU have a habit of combining classes across departments - even practical oriented units - totally compromising quality!! You might end up with a class of 350 students being taught JAVA with a microphone!!! Do some investigation on these before choosing KU. I've heard of this & been wondering how its practically possible. Quite acceptable esp for JAB tho, where they pay less than 30k a year! OMG, which public uni is better now?

A diverse range of government agencies, banks, pharmaceutical companies, consulting firms and financial companies just to name a few provides ample employment opportunities for statisticians. BTW, we need statisticians. everywhere. Check out and upcoming education fair in Sarit centre on 2nd - 5th May 2012 and another one for all public Universities some times June or July. With all these MATHS am not sure that's the way she want to swing, tho she got an A in maths. I will check again with her. Thanks for the education fair dates...will def attend

Sorry JOOUST ( Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology), was just naming some other universities apart from the 3 big brands. We totally miss you coz of clinging to those brands. All programmes offered in Public Universities are fully accredited by CUE and therefore the various certificates fully recognized.

UON - BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (Computer Science) (47.1) b). JKUAT - BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (Computer Science) (46.8) c). KU - BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (Computer Science) (46.5) 2. JOOUST vs UoN?

It specialises on QUANTITY! Not QUALITY! Set out to correct the world's wrongs and you will most certainly wind up adding to them.

Thanks for the education fair dates...will def attend Make her attend too and let her ask all the questions she wants and she will make a better choice. The fair comprises of all categories of Universities: Public, Private local Universities and International Universities. I am sure there will be a career adviser in most booths ( I know because i have attended 3 previous fairs-- this is the 15th one, and the experience is a wao factor in terms of info gained). I just wish her all the best in her choice, as i put it before' some decisions are irreversible since time is involved"

Those who have already have the advantage of the brand do not really mind since the name sells. The upcoming ones would want to impress. lets not also forget that opportunities may be many in an upcoming University....just my opinion!
