If the busses are that good, why is citi hoppa disposing them? One of their drivers told me that the NISSAN UD type is troublesome in it's second year on the road.

There is one common denominator in the threads of the people who are already in this biashara.

The all conclude that they are selling the matt. Be it new ama old. This plus Citti hoppa selling KAU busses for 980k. Personally this tells me something.

I would only buy a matt if I was operating it. If I had 2 citty hoppas or 3 or so Nissans It would make sense to quit jobbo and run them. I mean 20K daily aint bad.

no matter how good the matatu looks(KAU or KBH),it will always disappoint you if its your only income source...but its worth the risk in the end.

there's is always something to hope for...

On the contrary,I do not intend to depend on it,i actually want to use the KAU as a launching pad where fully into the business. Just seeking ideas from te experts and victims in the industry. Victims in the sense that they made their mistakes and have learnt from the same

@ali consider how much you will be getting per day and for how long a KAU will maintain that stream of income..lets take for example it will give you 3k per day ....per week you can make 15k this coz you have one day for service and you give you give yourself an allowance of one days for any mech problem or cop disturbance ....but remember with time this car is getting old and thus maintenance expenses rise,so you must have a plan of acquiring a less used car to maximize on your returns ...with excess of 100k for any eventuality and the fact that your are not depending on returns from the car for your upkeep, you can give it a shot...and don't ignore importance of having one reliable driver..

Do not be afraid,just believe!
