hi middle class iko na pesa kweli, 200k plus for child birth, not counting the immunizations and the hospital visits due to homa - that,s money government employees get as a retirement lump-sum after like 30 years working.

And in case you want a great nursery school for your baby, pre-book before he/she is out of womb.
Seen pregnant mothers queue to book space early cz of high demand.

First borns.
-Know you are expecting by the second month.
-Shop at selective places
-Choose the best hospital, private care, best services
-Attention to details
-Everything for baby must be brand new
-If baby coughs, you get a fever
-Monitor all baby's movement.Remember it's heartbeat plus when it stopped drooling.
-Change pamper when baby pees a drop asipate rashes
-Everything MUST be sterilised like crazy.Woe to the maid who fails to do this.
-Try hard to ensure baby is always smiling.Crying will make baby tired.
-Everything is bought at the supermarket. No cereals from mama mboga cz it could be contaminated.
-Attend all baby clinics and ensure baby is given ALL injections(some smh) till they are 2 years.

Second Borns
woi!!
- Mum discovers Toi market.
- Mum can check in at any low cost hospital, give birth and go.
-Baby wears clothes worn by the first baby or mtush.Hakuna cha mabrand new.Economy.
-If baby cries for no reason, you let her/him do so.It's all lung exercise.
-No time to monitor every lil thing. You meet baby running and rapping one day and wonder when it all happened. How did you miss it?
-Pamper must be properly/fully utilised. No they dont cause rashes
-You discover that soap and clean water is enough. You start comparing rural and healthy kids and yours.Sio lazima sterilisation.
- You become a regular at mama cereals. She sells unrefined cereals and that is good for baby's digestion.
-Miss baby clinics, check in at your convinience. After 6 months you have had enough! Some bacteria is good for health after all.
You will take baby to clinic only if there is sign of illness.

3rd born

This one, you discover you are pregnant with after 6 months. The rest is history.
Atajisort.Laughing out loudly

It's no wonder 2/3nd borns are survivors.Hardened.

And the choice of school - public primary schools out of question, Braeburn School and the likes becomes the choice. Parents start paying fees for a class one child at a rate of over Kshs 220,000 per year! Almost four times the best national school in the country (annual fees for year 7 and 8 totals kshs 414,300, note). Pray Pray Pray

Kama wanayo, no problem!! You will get many are living in their own houses already driving rage rovers and mercs even before offspring pops in. So what do they do with extra cash which is constantly flowing in? Take the kids to brookhouse (fee average200k per term Pray)
Problem comes in when a kawa middle class dude renting a house in kile is trying to keep up with the kawa dude who owns his own house in peponi drive and kids fee is probably being paid by the company he/she works in.
