I see learned people wakilemewa na business and people are advising the girl to hit the biz world right away.

Let me tell you what biz means in the mind of a housegirl
1. Rent a premises, equip and set up a salon or beauty parlour.
2. Give it a colourful name like Merimela beauty parlour and salon.
2. Buy tv and tune it to nollywood and soaps for customers
3. Sit down all day long and wait for customers to stream in.
4. Buy shoes and clothes every now and then from the hawkers who like walking in with their wares.
4. Withdraw cash to pay rent, electricity and other bills because there isn't much biz forthcoming.

After a year or so there's no money left in the account and she will say that biz was bad.

I always prefer that somebody goes into biz after they have tasted employment kidogo.I know its not always the case but there are some principles to be learnt in doing so.
Otherwise chances of it being run like an open air market are high.
Sioni why she shouldn't study cz study is investing in her future.Besides it's permanent unlike business which may fail anytime.

Then people must realise that she has relas who will emerge with all manner if needs and beg for assistance. It's not easy to give them a cold shoulder esp if they have helped her before.
That is why this liquid money must be utilised wisely haraka sana before it grows legs and takes a walk down river road

let the kid go to school and learn, education is permanent, and opens doors, but bizn is 50-50. and with that she has the excuse of saying "sina pesa niko shule" to her nagging relatives.

New business failure rate is HIGH. if you want to know go ask the ministry of affair.
The best way is for her to invest in an already stable business venture that she UNDERSTANDS.its very critical that she understands the business and the industry it operates in.
That way she'll remove the risk that comes with starting a business and ride on the experience of other. To me thats a win win situation .

And what do you think would best help a beginner to understand the basics of running a biz?
Experience or Education?

We could even be discussing an old mama here.
In that case she can invest in her kids education or if she doesn't have any, hata selling scratchcards is biz.
