dude that which takes off monies from your pocket is a liability. His bigger more expensive to maintain car just means he has larger liabilities than you do. From a financial perspective and wealth accumulation, then you are better off and as someone said, it's all about your priorities and that which makes you feel satisfied and fulfilled. I am quite sure if you had kshs15m at your disposal you wouldn't go for that HSE would you?

If you drive a Probox, go to a junkyard and retrieve a "junked" Probox...Ask the wielder near you to join the two and you will have a limousine...And the owner of the Range Rover will be envious of your new model!!!

My neighbour has just got himself a KBR Range Rover Vogue HSE and now my Toyota looks like a toy. So who between the two of us is living in the wrong neighbourhood. Have I been trying to punch above my weight? Or is it time for him to move to a house on a half acre plot.

Is that what inspired you to "buy" a plane??

...recently finished building his two-storey five-bedroom apartment block on Mbagathi Road, Nairobi. He owns five other apartment blocks and recently finished building a palatial home on the outskirts of Nairobi estimated at Sh10 million...

10m buys a small ordinary apartment like those apartments in Kawanware which some believe are in Lavington. For a home in areas like Karen eg Miotoni ridge,an ordinary home goes for 55m and a palatial home like Hussein Ali's goes for 200m.

If you have the land, 10m can build you a nice 335 sq mtr 5bdrm ordinary home in Karen and other areas at the cost of 30,000 per sq mtr. If you were to also buy the land at 20m, that comes to 30m total. At 55m for an ordinary home it means the agent/developer is eating 25m from you.
