I think the major reason why there's a problem in Parliament with MK's nominations is because MK and RAO DIDN'T AGREE on the names.....These two principals had already decided to disregard the JSC recommendations before making the nominations.

@TAZ, finally someone gets it! BTW Did RAO himself suggest any women names to address the issue of gender equity?! If RAO & MK had agreed, other than FIDA, Kenyans would be applauding their 'Statesmanship'!

A fair decision that may accord the principals time to reflect on the lies they unleashed to Kenyans. On the other hand, let Kenyans disentangle themselves from this ethno-hysteria that clouds the way we reason. We will always lose our steps because we do not understand politicians' tunes.

En the women who are celebrating about the court ruling should also forget it. Coz had they agreed RAO & BAKS no woman was enlisted to benefit of the positions.

In my view even if they had agreed any nomination that excluded women would have been unconstitutional.

I agree with you @ elder. Hiyo bado ni unconstitutional, August house now has a good reason to stop debate on the appointments! Btw, why do guys think lack of consultation to the point of concurrence is impunity but they think that ignoring gender balance is ok?
