On a side note,NM must have spent a fortune acquiring those shots....ama?.The guy was so daring and i don't want to think what would have happened had the cops caught him in the act.Kudos to the guy.

...all of us work hard so that we live comfortably, educate our children ,feed you families etc.....
....we also pay taxes so that we get protection from the police.
.....if you decide to acquire a gun illegally, you have the intention to kill(illegal) and therefore it follows that you the thug should be shot dead(illegal).

.......its as simple as that and thats my opinion ! Me the Kenyan citizen, you the gun thug are not part of us.

For us to distinguish ourselves from the thugs we must not act like thugs. What those cops did was criminal.

@ rasilio , I don't think you know the situation on the ground. If you did, I believe your perception of this matter would be very very different.

Think he just wanted to get them out of his hands. Imagine what would have happened had the three criminals known that he had those photos and was trying to sell them to the highest bidder. Even now he would not want to be associated with them.

Maybe he didn't get even a single cent. He was probably too excited at the thought that his pictures would be published he forgot he should be paid.

Those photos are worth between 3m and 5m [maybe more] given that they appeared on the front page and set the whole nation talking. Add to that the fact that NM can re-sell the image rights to other media houses [local and international] and the risk factor and they are worth much more. If you have such pictures it helps to use mercenary tactics. Offer them to both Standard and Nation and let each know you are in discussions with the other. Let them outbid each for approximately 3 hours and then sell to the highest bidder! Biashara ni biashara.

If it was me, I would be on my way to the Caribbean right now for a well earned holiday [and hiding - LOL] after depositing some of the money with my broker to do the necessary.

@Njunge, they would have shot him and said he was their leader.
@2miles it is easier to spot rain clouds from afar.

Saitoti said “Don’t judge the police on the basis that two or so of them have misbehaved,”

did they misbehave by killing citizens or misbehave by being caught on camera?

If misbehave is the verb that the minister can come up with I pray for you all to get home tonight safely. if its not the carjacker with a rent a cop gun, its the "misbehaving" cop.

"misbehaved". Gosh, from a whole minister of Zamunda.

them thugs carjacked me as I entered my home. Harassed my family and I, stole stuff and money. One pointed a gun at my head and cocked it. But at least he didn't shoot. Again other than harass us, they left us in peace, but waligongesha gari yangu.

Now if I knew they were coming for me and I had an AK somewhere, am not sure which option I'd hav taken; pray for them to change their ways or use the AK. If ur have ever been a victim am not sure which side u'd lie
