@2012. the 50 percent available for trading is enough. the fact that they were split means we will be having many shares on offer. African parents don't know how to say sorry.. the closest you will get to a sorry is a 'have you eaten'

When the dust settles, a huge chunk of KPLC will be in the hands of government, NSSF, Pensions funds and high networth individuals. There will be relatively low free float. So guys should worry about dilution. This is really a gem for long-term investment.

All the same there are short term speculators who may want to sell around 15-22 Jan just b4 rts start trading and buy later on as the 'dust settles'. It's really a gamble! And the music goes on. Latest trade 25.50/=. 30 Bob here we come! As people talk of dilution they conveniently forget that before restructuring,KPLC had less than 7500 shareholders in its books. For me this is a major factor to take into account when one is considering the expected price rally. IF YOU EXPECT ME TO POST ANYTHING POSITIVE ABOUT ASENO, YOU MAY AS WELL SIT ON A PIN

This is a monopoly utility company with less than 1b shares to trade. My advice get in before it's too late. BBI will solve it :)

For me this is a major factor to take into account when one is considering the expected price rally. please expound on your last sentence, it sounds like something important, and i dont get it. Guru, i was expecting to sell at 25, so at 30 or there abouts its a no-brainer to sell for me. I dont even wanna calculate my profits now its too good The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

bartum wrote:if you have kplc prepare to sell this weeek and buy back after dilution The effect of the dilution on the share price will be negligible. This is because the number of shares in the hands of retail investors is very small. Having said that, it will be very tempting to lock in some profits at 30bob. I expect this share to hit strong resistance at that price. IF YOU EXPECT ME TO POST ANYTHING POSITIVE ABOUT ASENO, YOU MAY AS WELL SIT ON A PIN

Really?? I hope you are right. Good to know this now. Wont institutions and investors holding large stake, be tempted to cash in at 30? bartum wrote:if you have kplc prepare to sell this weeek and buy back after dilution @ Bartum, dilution occured when the shares were split on November. The probability that the share price will fall to 22 range is very slim. The guys buying are aware of dilution and aware that the downward trend on 24th which might be there, will be minimal. So those guys who will sell in order to buy back might be in for a rude shock. Democracy does not belong to the dead

Ok. Now everyone seems to know dilution will be minimal? We've talked about dilution here so much, no one ever said anything contrary. Im not disagreeing with any of you, its just interesting that now is when u are coming out. Im sitting with the dere, watching him change gears.
