Take off with negative equity and monumental dilution from government injection of billions of shillings to be converted into common stock!

with all the asset sales and paid down debt. one still expects a constant negative equity position.. smh

You will be shocked for another disastrous plunge to 3.50/-

I guess the clown was serious this time.. Though KES 3.5 is unlikely

Are you serious? Unlikely when we are expecting an all-out catastrophe in next year profit announcement, 2016/2017 financial year! Remember there are no assets to sale nor landing slots to relinquish to it competitors. I am waiting @50 cents.

There are critical stages in any stock:

1. A stock can disobey a cartoon like KQ and MSC for now are moving opposite directions of the charts.
2. Government controlled firms can remain in the dark as long as the politicians want.

PS. @obiero you have a short memory. Still you have not accepted that negative equity has double and 2016/17 it will triple. Don't hope when you should fear!

Things are getting tough year. Doesn't look like there is a turn around plan afoot. KQ needs to go back to basics, cut the non profitable routes, return non profitable planes or idle planes, reduce work force and other overheads and focus on repaying debt down. Once cash flow positive they can begin to make strategic moves. Fixing KQ in its current state and size is a near impossible task.

Haven't they done all that...btw work force is really really strained if they continue down sizing...OTP will be greatly affected they have been warned on that severally.Guys are really strained and disgruntled.

You can imagine even drinking water for staff which is a requirement of the law hawana...or comes in after a few days of being missing...no allowance for acting posts...rem the story for the provident fund?Honestly what else can you do to make the lives of the workers unbearable?

"Question to potential 'new' shareholders. If KQ's Board of Directors can do this to existing shareholders today, how sure can you be the same will not be done to you in 3 years?"

Yes, it came to pass. The existing shareholders (post-Rights) will be massively diluted as the 'new' GoK cash is converted into shares.

Tomorrow's price is likely to be the final time in recent memory that we shall reach KES 4.60. It is official, the plane is ready for take off

You are forgetting the fact that ensuing court battle by sacked employees might tank this stock further to 2/-.

This time around there shall be no court case. Trust me.. Tomorrow's price and volume action on the share shall show the way forward

Even if it jumps to 4.6/-with huge volume the fact remains this is sugar-coated speculation. Ni kama kukanyaga makaa ya moto! Utakosa kuchomeka kweli? @obiero if your speculation theory obeys you by Fry-dei jump out with more than 30%- otherwise you risk your fortune herein.

KES 4.70 printed. We shall not see these prices again. Once we break out of KES 5.00, only God knows where we shall land. As I have posited and opined here severally, KQ should never have traded below KES 8.00 and its real value is KES 14 with a possible premium of upto KES 45 per share based on return to profitability..

@Obiero surely!!! This "inside information" of yours must be the worst in the history of inside information!!! Imagine all the poor newbies that might have followed @Obiero and his "inside information"!!!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

160,900 KQ sold out at KES 4.50; take home KES 708,845.. Viewing of the leaked actual financials late last night, triggered my thought pattern. one of my ladies in an established media house had filled me in.. was at the trading floor way beyond opening hour. I had to blind side a few investors and I apologise for ratting out but capital preservation preceeds integrity. However, I remain interested in the share and will likely reinvest on lower entry point

@Obiero - On Wednesday, you stated that come what may, you cannot accept anything below 12/= on your KQ shares. Next morning you are selling at 4.50/=

You really need to reevaluate your source of "inside information".

@Maich, the "inside information" may even have been spot-on, who knows. Remember:

"I had to blind side a few investors and I apologise for ratting out but capital preservation preceeds integrity"

Lesson for the innocent..
