Jubilee gave up on infrastructure development based on the recent budget that was forced on us. But ata hizi pesa za IFB usually ends in other uses other than Infrastructure...once Pesa is placed in the consolidated account, anything goes. What do you mean in layman's language, the Amortization aspect. Unlike traditional normal straight vanilla bonds... The IFB pays back some amount before maturity date.... In the case of IFB 14....IFB1/2018/15....You will be paid 40% of your fig (if its unencumbered /not in lien) in 2028...then the 60% at maturity date I.e in 2033....Amounts up to 1m that are not encumbered will be redeemed in full during the 1st amortisation date.... The traditional bonds pay invested principal once at maturity.... Check it out from the calc.... possunt quia posse videntur

8/11/18 1)Fixed Income:Market turnover dropped to KES 868Mn as information on this month's primary auction filtered out. Indications are the offer will be a 20-year IFB, the longest infrastructure bond to be issued to date. #SokoNews https://t.co/427AcghbBPpossunt quia posse videntur

@Maka,Naona kwa gazeti wametangaza kitu for 20 years. But why, pray, only set the sale period that short? Is it to lock out some souls? And interest rate, why not just make it 12%...hizi 11.950 is unnecessary catwalking. Portfolio: Sold You know you've made it when you get a parking space for your yatcht.

I have also noticed it. But it seems they don't want to publicise it much. They even haven't pulled out the October reopened bond from their site. Trust in God and endure patiently.
